Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 2025
These terms apply to all project-based work carried out by Shubhi Jain (trading as theshubhi.com), including website design, brand identity, UI/UX design, and gifting product work under Shubhiji. By commissioning work or making a payment, you agree to the terms below.
1. How projects work
Every project starts with a brief. Scope, timeline, and pricing are agreed in writing before work begins. If the scope changes after the project starts, the timeline and cost will be revised accordingly. Work does not begin until the initial payment is received.
2. Payments
Projects are structured as 50% upfront and 50% on final delivery, unless a different arrangement is agreed in writing. For longer engagements, milestone-based payments may apply. Final files are released only after the balance is cleared. Invoices are due within 7 days unless otherwise agreed.
3. Revisions
Each project includes a fixed number of revision rounds, agreed at the start. Revisions are changes within the agreed scope -- they are not a redesign. If feedback requires a significant change in direction, that is treated as a scope change and priced accordingly.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for providing all necessary content, assets, and approvals in a reasonable time. Delays caused by late feedback or missing content may push the delivery date. Approvals given at any stage of the project are final for that stage.
5. Ownership and rights
Full ownership of the final deliverables transfers to you once the project is paid in full. Working files (source files, design system files, etc.) are included if that was part of the agreed scope. Until payment is complete, all work remains the property of Shubhi Jain.
Unless you request otherwise in writing, completed work may be featured in the portfolio on this site and related social channels. If you need the project kept confidential, let me know before we begin.
6. Cancellations
If you cancel a project after work has started, the deposit is non-refundable. Any work completed up to the point of cancellation will be invoiced at the agreed rate. Completed and approved deliverables must be paid for in full.
7. No guarantees on outcomes
Good design improves how your product or brand is perceived, but I cannot guarantee specific business results such as conversions, revenue, or search rankings. What I can guarantee is work that is thorough, considered, and delivered to the agreed brief.
8. Limitation of liability
Liability for any claim arising from this engagement is limited to the total fees paid for the project in question. This does not apply in cases of gross negligence or fraud.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be handled in Indian courts.
10. Questions
If anything here is unclear, just ask before we start. Reach me at hello@theshubhi.com.
